Control Tips, Expert Tips

Rotation and Scaling are control options included in the COORD option; they cannot be used on turning centers. Rotation and Scaling can be used together; scaling should be activated first and deactivated last.

Rotation is used to rotate any program from its origin or a defined location. Rotation does NOT affect Z depth moves. Rotation uses G68 / G69 / Setting 72 and 73. Rotation enhances PROBING capabilities by reducing set-up time and increasing set-up flexibility.

Scaling is used to proportionally reduce or enlarge part program size in all axes. Scaling does not affect canned cycle Z values or cutter comp values. Scaling uses G51/G52 / setting 71.
